What is Search engine optimization part I

Hello,

and welcome to my first post, well but not in my first Blog, actually I have 2 other Blogs DouDy Sketche and Painting artworks about watercolors and how I learn to paint with its different techniques. Until now I've enjoyed every minute of Blogging about my paintings and sketchs. And I 've met some extraordinary artists in the world of Blogging that made my experience unique.

Well after a while when we get stronger in writing and blogging we develop a desire to have more trafic coming to our website or Blog, so I started to surf the Internet, or maybe the word searching is more appropriate, I started searching for ways to increase my trafic, and one of the tools that I have encountered on various or lets say on the majority of the times was SEO - Search Engine Optimization.

Well as I am new to this tool I'll start from a beginner approach which is the definition from Wikipedia :

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.
